Funtime Skateland Pontotoc was built Owned and Operated by Herbert and Betty Jenkins of Pontotoc in 1965. They sold the rink to Mr. McDonald in 1971 to further the Funtime brand in Jackson MS, Southaven, Searcy, AR, and Baldwin. The Pontotoc location was sold to Mrs. Angie Waters in 1978 and she faithfully operated the skating rink for 40 years serving the community of Pontotoc and for four generations gave families, kids, churches and schools a place to have a great time.

Herbert and Betty moved back to Pontotoc in 1999 and when Herbert passed away in October of 2022 their son Byron asked Ms. Waters if she would like to sell the rink. On December 21, 2022 Funtime Skateland returned to the Jenkins Family. Our mission statement and through years of experience and the teaching of his father Byron hopes to continue to serve the great community of Pontotoc by providing a “safe and decorous place” for all.
